I went to high school with this sweet baby boy’s mom in Murfreesboro and we reconnected through Church. Our oldest daughters are the same age and I knew that she would probably do well for the newborn session, but I wasn’t sure how her younger sister would do as sibling shots can sometimes be tricky with younger children and newborns, but this session was a dream. ”He slept like a baby”! This family also signed up for my baby steps plan and I’m looking forward to watching this baby boy grow! Presenting baby “W” and his adorable big sisters!

This baby girl was such a sweetheart. I recommend newborn sessions be done in the first 5-12 days to ensure they are sleepy enough to get all of those squishy poses. I love photographing little girls because I get to use all of my girl props and bows. People ask me all the time where I get all of my headbands and I tell them that etsy has become quite a obsession. One of my particular favorites is Simply Sweet a little lady boutique. Beautiful Girl in Field of Clover | Nashville Child Portraits

It has been my new goal to capture those beautiful portraits of MY OWN children. This is my beautiful little girl and the reason I started photography. I look at her and cannot believe how old she looks. I want to bottle up this time and keep her my precious little girl forever. I always want her to think I’m “cool” and want to snuggle at night, but since freezing time is not an option I want to make sure I capture every moment of her sweet life. I want to capture the essence of her so I can keep those memories forever. Photographing my own children is surprisingly more stressful than photographing other children, but we had such a wonderful time capturing these images. She helped come up with some of her own poses, picked flowers and had fun practicing ballet in the field of clover. I’m pretty sure some of these images will be decorating our walls soon. THIS is why I love photography. Capturing the essence of childhood!

Sleepy baby girl | Nashville Newborn Portraits

This baby girl was a dream for her newborn session! She had the longest eyelashes and the sweetest baby features. Her big sister also did a great job. Photographing newborns with siblings under the age of two is usually challenging, but big sister laid still for long enough to let me get a few pictures of the two of them together. Mom wasn’t huge on the full body naked baby pictures, but that worked out great with all of the precious new diaper covers and props I had gotten recently. It is always exciting when someone books my first year package because it give me a chance to get to know the family and I just love watching these sweet babies grow. Thank you so much for sharing your sweet family with me and I look forward to watching her grow! Spring Minis | Murfreesboro Child Portrait Photographer

We had such wonderful weather for our two weekends of spring mini sessions held at my parents farm in Bell Buckle, TN. The yellow wildflowers came out just in time for our sessions and looked so bright and cheery! Mini portrait sessions are great and allow me the opportunity to see some of my “first year package” clients again. I had not seen some of them since their newborn sessions and my they had grown! I’m happy to report our baby chicks were a big hit and it was cuteness overload combining them with your sweet children. It is such a honor capturing these images and precious moments in your children’s lives. Thank you all so much for a successful Spring Photo shoot and trusting me to capture the excitement of childhood!

This baby girl was so good for her newborn session. I got a chance to get to know her parents at their maternity session and it was so good to see them again and meet the newest addition to their family. This shot is obviously a composite shot as it is always my first priority to keep newborns safe. I just love this on her daddy’s guitar!

I had such a wonderful time with this sweet baby girl. She spent a little time in the NICU and the family was so happy to have their whole family back together again. Her mom brought some of the most adorable props with her. I usually provide all props so it isn’t necessary, but I do love using new props too! She slept like a champion the first hour and we got tons of sweet poses, but once she decided she was awake she had her mind made up so we got some sweet pictures with her big sister. Thank you so much for choosing me as your newborn photographer. It was so wonderful meeting you all!

I had such a good time with this little angel today. She was such a sweet little girl and I just fell in love with her sweet cheeks. I’ve gotten a chance to know this family through several of their sessions. They were my last fall maternity session before all the leaves fell from the trees and they just radiate joy. They are a joy to be around and have such energy and love between them. This is baby number 4 for them so they will have their hands full, but they handle it so well! I hope you enjoy the pictures of this sweet baby girl as much as I enjoyed taking them!

I love how in Tennessee even in December you can get some pretty weather. I had a great time getting to know this expecting couple last night. They have signed up for my “baby steps” package so I can’t wait to work with them throughout their baby boy’s first year too! They were so great to work with and even though she is very pregnant, she was willing to sit down, stand up, lay down as many times as I asked her. Aren’t they a gorgeous couple? She works at a salon in Nashville and I always think hair stylist are so stylish. It must be a requirement =) Without further adieu, I introduce you to the “T” family expecting baby “Z” in March 2012.

This sweet little girl did amazing for her newborn session! Her mom brought some adorable diaper covers that I am sure are going to have to be added to my prop stash because I just LOVE them. This baby girl came ready to pose and we finished her session without her ever even waking. I love posing these sweet babies and am looking forward to watching them all grow!
